Adrienne Hickey

Adrienne Dorman Hickey has been studying and performing classical music for 28 years. She attended the Tanglewood Institute twice in the course of her studies and went on to found the Sky Island Chamber Society with violinist Dr. Sancho Manzano, with whom she also established the Engelmann Piano Quintet, along with violinist/violist Dr. Callie Hutchison, cellist Joel Schaefer, and violinist Hannah Cochrane. With her colleagues at the society, she offers educational opportunities to the community through performance, lecture, and master classes.

 

She has been teaching her private studio for seven years, serving students of all levels but largely coaching intermediate players. She believes all music students have a unique path to inspiration and that exposure to live music contributes significantly to cultivation of the arts both in the home and in the culture overall.
